Carl Dennis | Senior Pastor & Elder

After 40 plus years of ministry and numerous mentors over the course of my life, to me, servitude is one of the most important words in the English language. Ruth, my wife of forty years, and I are humbled to be asked to serve the people of LifeSpring Bible Church along with the rest of the leadership team.
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved our family of five to Alaska in 1989. I have been a Christian since I was eighteen and I will turn sixty years old this year. Ruth and I are very excited about what God wants to accomplish in our city.
It is our most sincere prayer that God will continue to reveal himself in a special way in our services, and that he will grow the fellowship as he sees fit.

Isaac Johnson | Counseling, Small Groups Coordinator, & Elder

I was born in Sequim, Washington, and have lived most of my life in Yakima, Washington. After graduating high school, I attended Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, where I met my wife, Leah, and graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science. In 2007, I completed my master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and started working as a counselor for Bethel Ridge Family Resources, a faith-based, non-profit organization located in Yakima, Washington. Over the next 10 years, God blessed my wife and I tremendously. He gave us two, beautiful daughters (Hannah and Madison), successful careers, a wonderful home to live in, a loving church family to be a part of, and more friendships than we could have hoped for. Life was very comfortable for us and that’s how we imagined it was going to stay. But like He usually does…God had other plans. We began to feel unsettled in Yakima, and after several months of praying and seeking God’s direction, one thing became crystal clear; we were not supposed to stay where we were. So, when an opportunity arose in the Spring of 2019 to join the staff of LifeSpring Bible Church, it didn’t take God long to confirm that this was where He wanted us.
My wife Leah and I bring a lot of professional, practical, and life experience to LifeSpring Bible Church. I worked as a marriage and family therapist from 2007 to 2020 and Leah has been a high school teacher since 2003. We have facilitated several marriage retreats and small groups together, including children’s ministry, and I led a men’s addiction recovery group for five years. Leah and I have a passion for discipleship and strive to help every person we work with, become the man or woman God intends them to be.
I have been doing my best to serve Jesus Christ, since I made Him Lord of my life at age 6. My philosophy for ministry is “People mature spiritually, emotionally and physically when they feel loved, accepted and pursued.” Jesus loved people out of their sin. Words have the power to change minds, but relationships can transform lives.
