Expressing ANGER is LOVING. Most of us think of anger as a destructive emotion that needs to be avoided or suppressed, but in reality, anger is the most Validating emotion we possess. We don’t generally get upset with people or circumstances that we don’t care about. This is why we often find ourselves subconsciously picking fights with people, because we instinctively know that if someone is mad at us, they still care. Since anger is a legitimate way to express deep care and concern for people, situations, and injustices in our lives, our goal should Not be to eliminate anger from our tool bag, but rather learn to express it in healthier, more nondestructive ways.
