Operation Christmas Child
LifeSpring is participating in the Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child.
What is Operation Christmas Child?
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
How is LifeSpring participating?
As a church, we have committed to giving at least 30 boxes to Operation Christmas Child. We already have 30 pre-printed shoe boxes but you can use any medium size shoe box.
When is this?
We will be collecting shoe boxes during the week of November 10th with the final day being November 17th. You can drop them off during Sunday Church or at our church office on 4600 Debarr Rd Ste 301. We are open Monday through Thursday from 10AM to 3PM.
How can I participate?
There will be more information at our Sunday Service. There is also a suggested donation of $9 that would cover the shipping cost of the box. If you donate online, you can track what country your box goes to. Otherwise you can use a donation envelope and include your donation inside your shoe box. Either way, we can help you through the process.
Do not include…
- Used or Damaged Items
- War-related Items
- Liquids or Lotions
- Medications or Vitamins
- Breakable Items or Glass Containers
- Aerosol Cans
Lifespring will then drop off all our boxes at a collection center during National Collection Week.
